LOOKING THOUGH

YEW

A rare find, this driftwood Yew fork came from a local beach. The Yew is a mystical tree said to have powers of rebirth and rejuvenation. It was held sacred by the druids and used in medicines since medieval times and beyond. The English famously used yew wood to make their long bows, so pivotal in the 100 year war. Yew trees often found in European Churchyards.

The alloy balls provide a support structure for the glass without compromising the beautiful weathered

end grain of the wood. They also add the third element to the piece.
